Why we love this book:

Earth is dying. The planets must be colonized for the salvation of the human race. Thus begins Pierce Brown's dystopian sci-fi novel Red Rising. The story follows Darrow, a miner of the Red caste — the lowest class in a strict color-coded society — tasked with the back-breaking work of making Mars livable for future generations. He soon discovers a disturbing truth about the world in which he lives and must decide what he is willing to sacrifice to change it. Red Rising is an action-packed tale of vengeance, political deception, and the struggle for power. Brown seamlessly weaves Roman mythology into a futuristic empire built by greed and dominance, and poses the question: can one person change such a world — without losing themself in the process?
