Why should you read “Crime and Punishment”? - Alex Gendler

Why we love this book:

A classic of Russian literature as well as one of the first psychological thrillers, Crime and Punishment follows a university student driven to desperation. Dostoevsky's gripping prose casts a penetrating gaze into Raskolnikov's tormented mind, as well as the society through which his unthinkable act reverberates. At once scathing and compassionate, the book's insights into the human condition remain every bit as relevant to today's world as they were to 19th century Saint Petersburg.
