Chasing New Horizons: Inside the Epic First Mission to Pluto

Recommendation inspired by:
The journey to Pluto, the farthest world ever explored - Alan Stern

Why we love this book:

Chasing New Horizons is my new favorite non-fiction book. Much of it reads like The Martian, but it is 10 times more exciting because it actually happened. It’s truly incredible that this mission to visit Pluto succeeded given the sheer number of obstacles and challenges it faced—time, budget, bureaucracy, orbital mechanics, a nuclear fuel shortage, a crisis at the finish line, the list goes on and on. If you have any interest at all in the present and future of space exploration, you’ll love this.
